OUR NEW RUNWAY and RAMP
In late December 2009, Sky Manor completed repaving, painting new runway markings, and upgrading the lighting on runway 07/25. We also rejuvenated our taxiways and ramp areas, adding much needed taxi lanes and parking tees on our main ramp. Please note that Rwy 07 PAPIs & REILS, and Rwy 25 REILs have not been commissioned yet.
Main Ramp
- The main parking ramp has been striped with taxi lanes and parking tees.
- All parking spaces on the ramp are available for transient airplane parking.
- There is a transient helicopter parking circle in the southeast corner of the ramp. Additional helicopter parking is along the edge of the ramp, east of the helicopter circle with tails over the grass.
- There are guidance markers painted on the main ramp taxi lanes indicating a clockwise flow to the fuel pumps. Please adhere to these guideline, pull up far enough, and two airplanes can fuel at the same time.
Grass Parking
- The grass area in front of the restaurant facing the runway is to be used only by lightweight (under 2000 lbs gross weight) airplanes when it is dry. Please use the ramp and stay off the grass when the ground is soft.
- No helicopters in this area – use the helicopter parking area on the main ramp
- The grass area in front of the flight school facing the ramp is a NO PARKING area.
- Overflow parking on the grass is available along the main taxiway, west of the large hangar. Use caution when leaving the pavement.
Signage will soon be in place to help guide visiting pilots.
