ABOUT US

On November 24, 2008 a group of pilots and hangar tenants completed the acquisition of Sky Manor Airport from its former owner. It is their desire to see the airport grow and prosper while maintaining the “country club” atmosphere for which Sky Manor is famous.

Since it began back in the 1940's, Sky Manor has served both local and transient pilots. From its humble grass-strip beginnings to the current 2900-foot paved runway, Sky Manor has been a favorite stopping point for pilots.

Sky Manor Airport always offers some of the least expensive fuel in the area. Once your plane's belly is full, why not do the same for your own and take advantage of one of the best airport burgers around at the Sky Manor Airport Restaurant, run by Marty Lane, who offers a diverse menu along with his legendary Friday Dinner Buffet!

In need aircraft maintenance? We have one of the best. Please see Marty Kress at Kress Aviation for all of your aircraft repair needs. Whether you need an oil change or an annual, Marty is there to help.

Now for a special occasion, or simply to transform an average day into a special occasion, Kevin Olsen and NJ Ballooning (located right on the field) can make it happen. Kevin's experience will ensure a safe and memorable flight.

As we all know, our pilot numbers are dwindling and aging. Let's help reverse that trend by encouraging people we know to take that very special first flight. And what better place to take it than at Sky Beckons Aviation flight school, run by Tom Kramer. Whether it be for a first flight, a scenic fall ride, or a complete instrument-training program, Sky Beckons can make it happen.

Lastly, remember, that it's the people that make the difference. The folks that run these businesses along with those which manage the airport are committed to friendly and fair service while maintaining the country club atmosphere that has allowed Sky Manor Airport to be known as “the best little airport in the East.”

The January 1953 issue of ‘Business Flying.’ The magazine promoted the use of airplanes for business, much like ‘Business and Commercial Aviation’.

In the article, note the runway layout and the buildings. Our Runway 25 is the longer grass strip. Our restaurant building had a different shape back then. And of course the Colonial Mansion is no more.
